Consultative meet approves ‘Framework Agreement’

NSCN (I-M) cabinet secretary D.G. Robert on Friday informed that the “consultative meeting of National Socialist Council of Nagalim and representatives of the Naga people from the so-called Manipur state was held at Council Headquarters, Hebron on August 24, 2015”.
A copy of declaration sent to the media stated that the house after thorough consultation on the August 3 “Framework Agreement” signed between the Government of India (GoI) and NSCN (I-M), had warmly welcomed the agreement and approved it unanimously by show of hand.
It stated that the house had also expressed deep appreciation to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, cabinet ministers and R.N. Ravi, government of India interlocutor and Indian leaders for their bold step in concretizing the Framework agreement. 
Further, the house expressed its gratefulness to the collective leadership of the NSCN, chairman Isak Chishi Swu, general secretary Th. Muivah, the chief negotiator in the Indo-Naga political talks and the NSCN talk team for their tireless and persistent efforts that resulted in the “historic framework agreement.”
The meeting was chaired by the general secretary Th. Muivah, the chief negotiator and conducted by kilo kilonser Rh. Raising.
Among the participants included members of collective leadership, steering committee members of NSCN and council of kilonsers, UNC, all tribal hohos, village chiefs, ANSAM, ATSUM, Naga people’s Movement for Human Rights (South sector), Naga Mothers’ Union, women organisations of all tribes, student unions of all tribes, intellectual forums, political parties, Church leaders and others.
