GLWS Night Bazaar begins with dance competition

GLW Society in association with Act of Kindness and East Dimapur Sumi Students Union begun the six day Night Bazaar at Naga Arcade, Supermarket Area, Dimapur, Monday with former DMC member Y Phukhavi Yeptho as the chief guest during the inaugural programme.
Yeptho in his greetings said festive season was soon to begin and by providing such entertainment activities including streefood, shooping, art, music stc by organizing night bazaars would help in heightening the holiday spirit after working hard the whole year long.
He said young and old would find various means to have a good time and enjoy themselves in such an atmosphere.
He added that such kind of activities also had the prospects of solving anti-social elements, unemployment problems, boredom, lack of entertainment etc. as unemployed youth would be able to exhibit their talents and be more occupied in healthy social activities and entertainments.
Yeptho wished the organizers success and hoped everyone would have a good time.
Pitch Crew, a dance group from Dimapur were adjudged as winners of the dance competition which was held alongside the bazaar, they won a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
The first, second and third runners-up were bagged by Nishan, BFAT King and Rijoli respectively and they also won cash prizes.
Dancers from in and around Dimapur city came and showed their talents and also gave the thousands of crowd a memorable night.
November 29 of the bazaar will have a live concert at 6 p.m. where renowned artistes including Toshimoa, Kimatsung Jamir, Toshimeren and the Gluttones will be sharing the stage.
