
Winner of The Hindu Prize 2015 Easterine Kire’s new book called “Son of the Thundercloud” was released by a 13-year old boy, Isaac from Dimapur on November 29, at the ongoing 2nd edition of Bookworm Fest being held at APO building, opposite Oking Hospital in Kohima.
Pastor PowerComm, Jonathan Mesen invoked God’s blessing. Easterine Kire spoke briefly about the new book which she said was an allegory and the purpose of an allegory was to let the readers find out the meaning for themselves.
The Book Worm Fest would continue till December 5 with various books written by renowned Naga writers along with storytelling, children’s activities, conversation with the writers and others.
It may be mentioned that Bookworm Fest was an initiative of like-minded people who had come together with the purpose of “bridging boundaries through literature” with the aim to give space to young writers and aspiring writers.
It was also formed to support and promote local writers, to encourage the habit of reading and love for literature and to give children literary experiences.
