Tohanba visits St. Xavier School, Shamator

Parliamentary secretary for Municipal Affairs, R. Tohanba, visited St. Xavier School, Shamtor on May 12 and interacted with the parents and the teaching staff.
Speaking at the programme, he remarked that such joint meeting was needed to create healthy growth of the student’s academic career and the development of the school. 
Pointing out that the school securing 100% result was a proud moment for all the Shamator subdivision public, Tohanba reminded the gathering that with sheer hard work and self motivation to excel, supported by dedicated and sincere staff, had brought the school to this stage.
He encouraged the students to have an ambition, saying it would make them focus and motivate to work hard.
Tohanba also appealed the parents to have interactive session time to time regarding their academic performances which would eventually motivate the children to give their best. He also awarded cash reward to the achievers.
It may be mentioned that St. Xavier School had witnessed 100% result for the 2nd consecutive year. The school was started in the year 2005 with 100 students till UKG at the ADC guest house. Presently the school has a total enrollment of 1198 students. The only concern was the water scarcity for which the MLA had assured to look into it.
