GHS building inaugurated at Phelungre

The new high school building at Phelungre was inaugurated today by district education officer Kiphire, Deenabandhu Panda as the chief guest. Phelungre high school was upgraded in 2010 and is the first among the high school building to be inaugurated in the district under RMSA.
Delivering his speech the chief guest said that the government has given enough opportunity to the community however people should know how to utilize it. He said that school building was not enough but should produce good result in the examination also.
While appreciating the village authority for their cooperation to the department, the DEO also encouraged them to have cordial relationship with the staff of the school for the benefit of the whole. He further said that the success of the school depended on the importance given by the village authority and in this regard, he asked them to keep a check on the school.  
He also appreciated the contractor of the building for making it successful with proper norms of the building.
Sub divisional education officer Kiphire, N. Janbeni Kikon speaking at the programme appreciated the infrastructure of Phelungre new high school building. 
She said that to bring up the best result of the school three pillars of learning, such as parents, teachers and students needed be maintained. The SDEO also said that parents also should know their role in order to mould up their children in the right ways. 
She further said that blame game between the parents and teachers should be discouraged for the betterment of the school.
NPCC member, S.K. James Sangtam  who was also present at the programme applauded the initiatives of the DEO and his staff for the successful completion of the high school building. While encouraging the students present in the programme, he said that wherever they go for study, books were same however it depended on the interest of the students. 
He therefore appealed the students to instill the habit of hard work in their study.
Others who spoke at the programme were AHM, GHS Phelungre,S.N. JHA, head GB Litsaoung village, president PYSP, president PUKT and GB Phelungre village.
The programme was chaired by court secretary Phelungre village, Tongpise while VEC chairman K. Litsamong delivered vote of thanks. Welcome address was delivered by VCC Phelungre, Thsipise.
