CCAC Dimapur declared ‘tobacco free’ campus

One day seminar cum declaration of free tobacco campus was held on Saturday at City College of Arts and Commerce Dimapur with district programme officer, National Tobacco Control Programme Dr. C. Tetseo as the resource person. In the programme, Dr. C. Tetseo not only encouraged the students to give up the habit of using tobacco but also emphasised on the fast growing rate of non-commendable diseases caused by tobacco. He also deliberated on a number of chronic disease including cancer, lung diseases and cardiovascular diseases. 
Dr. Tetseo also congratulated the institution for being declared as the 5th tobacco free college in Dimapur. Z. Kepfo Chairman, Pradip Burman vice chairman and N. Lassu GB of Netaji colony also attended the seminar.
