AKMWP serves 15-day ultimatum on state govt

Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) at an emergency general body meeting in Kohima on March 9, 2016 has resolved to serve a 15-day ultimatum on the state government seeking justice against multiple instances of alleged corrupt practices in the department of municipal affairs (DMA) Nagaland.
In a press release, AKMWP president Neibulie Kiewhuo , general secretary Thejao Sekhose  and joint secretary and legal advisor Hukato Chishi said at the meeting the house unanimously resolved to serve ultimatum to the government and demand suspension of the addl. director& HoD DMA during the period of proceedings against him.
The house also demanded the government to enquire and recover the funds sanctioned for grant in aid to the urban local bodies of Nagaland amounting to Rs. 1 crore from those responsible and have the money paid to all urban local bodies as intended.
Further, it demanded cancellation of the supply order for supply of waste bin materials amounting to a sum of Rs. 1,11,23,955 released without administrative approval fix accountability and have the money refunded.
