Orangkong Union Nyengching (OUN) Longleng celebrated its golden jubilee with the theme, “In Step with Vision” on December 16 at PBCA Convention Hall.
Ex-MLA 50 A/C Longleng, M. Shami Angh graced the celebration as chief guest.
According to DIPR report, the chief guest lauded the OUN for overcoming the challenges during its journey and bringing changes in the society. He also encouraged the younger generations to follow the steps of their elders in achieving greater heights.
Earlier, on his arrival, he also unveiled the monolith at the medical junction, Longleng.
Speaking on the theme, vice principal Yingli Government College Longleng, Dr. B. Henshet Phom stressed on the provocative and vital role played by OUN in promoting the people of Longleng district. He encouraged the union and the younger generation to have a strong vision like forefathers.
