YTC: Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) has condemned the brutal murder of Athong Yimchunger, “Lieut”, GPRN/NSCN, of Leangkonger village under Shamator town, Tuensang district, who was shot dead and dumped in Medziphima town on July 26.
YTC in a condemnation note stated that, such kind of act was detrimental toward “peace and reconciliation” at the critical juncture.
YTC also pointed out that, such kind of ‘heinous killing’ would create disunity amongst various section of Naga society, when Nagas were yearning for peace and lasting solution to the protracted Naga political issue.
YTC has appealed all Naga political groups to maintain “peace and tranquility” for a congenial peaceful atmosphere in the society. YTC also expressed gratitude to citizens of Medziphima town for rendering their humanitarian service during the tragic hour.
MTSU: Medziphema Town Students Union (MTSU) has condemned the killing and dumping of a Naga youth with in the vicinity of Medziphema. The union has warned all not make Medziphema a “killing and dumping place” and urged upon every right thinking citizens to condemn such acts.
