ANHTU to support agitation

All Nagaland Hindi teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has decided to extend support to the proposed agitation of All Nagaland Aggrieved Hindi Teachers Association (ANAHTA), on November 26.
In the press release, ANHTU president, Rometo Sema and secretary, A.S. Yarthotngam, questioned why the state government was taking long time to release the pending salary of the 1379 Hindi teachers under CSS.
 The union also blamed the department of school education for delayed in submitting the necessary papers and documents in time, which it said delayed the sanction of funds from the central government. 
Accusing concern department on the failure to take up action despite representation submitted, the ANHTU demanded that the five months pending salaries be released in time. The union further, reminded the department to take the matter seriously and look into the demand of the teachers as  delay in payment of salary cause hardship as most of their families depend on the salary.
