Ex-servicemen rally would be conducted by 6 Sector Assam Rifles on November 24, 9 a.m to 2 p.m. at Urban Haat Dimapur. Rally would reach out to ex-servicemen residing in Nagaland/Assam covering districts of Mokokchung, Wokha, Dimapur, Kohima and Peren, including Karbi Anglong and Golaghat districts of Assam has also been encompassed in the rally.
The Rally would provide Assam Rifles Ex-serviceman an opportunity to resolve their grievances related to pensions, CSD facilities, medical facilities and would include stalls manned by representatives of Pension Cell, Record Branch, Pay and Allowance Office, Assam Rifles Ex-Serviceman Association (ARESA), State Bank of India, medical stalls and medical specialists. For resolution of any other issues concerning an Assam Rifles ex-serviceman a ‘General Grievance Cell’ will be established.
In this cell, specific problems of Assam Rifles Ex-serviceman will be registered and on spot advice will be provided. For welfare of Ex-serviceman an Aadhar Card Stall, CSD Smart Card Stall, Waste Management Stall, ICICI Bank Stall Postal Branch Stall and employment forum would also be established. Medical camp would also be conducted and would provide facilities of an Eye Specialist, ENT Specialist, Dentist and Lady Doctor.
The occasion would be graced by Director General AR Lt. Gen. HJS Sachdev AVSM, SM as chief guest while Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) Major General M S Jaswal YSM, SM and Commander, 6 Sector Assam Rifles Brigadier Brijesh Dhiman have also consented to form part of the event. Several other officers associated with welfare ex-servicemen would also be present during the rally
Cultural events and felicitation of Veer Naris/ Gallantry Award Winner/ War Veterans have been planned as part of the event. Apart from districts mentioned earlier, any other ex-serviceman belonging to Assam, Nagaland may also form part of the event. The event would provide an apt opportunity for ex-serviceman to interact with the Director General Assam Rifles and among themselves.
