National integration tour from Kohima to Kasauli returns home

Team of 21 comprising of 16 students, 3 teachers and officers from Assam Rifles (AR) was flagged off from Kohima to Kasauli has returned back to Nagaland after a successful journey of 22 days on November 12. 
During the trip organized by IGAR (N) the students visited Delhi and met the joint commissioner Sarangi Rai IAS. A welcome reception was organized on November 12 attended by Maj. Gen M. S Jaswal YSM, SM IGAR (N), officers of Hqs IGAR (N), Hqs 5 Sector 19 Assam Rifles, parents, teachers and media persons.
Phoebe one the of the student on being asked about her best moment of the trip said “walking down Rajpath, to India Gate was a proud moment for me, as I am an NCC cadet and one day I wish to command an NCC contingent on Republic day”.
Parents of students also thanked Maj Gen MS Jaswal for his unflinching approach to empower the youth of Nagaland. Mezivolu Theriah, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kohima and one of the parent said “Tour like this provides a unique opportunity for children to explore our country and it will go long way in fostering an understanding of the diverse cultures among children of Nagaland”.
