Take a dozen of the world’s most beautiful women, a famed photographer, a glamorous occasion in New York and who’s going to be the centre of attention? Why, the never-publicity-shy Donald Trump, of course.
The selection of beauties are all previous Miss Universe winners and the occasion was a reunion at Chelsea Piers with Mr Trump. The property mogul co-owns the Miss Universe organisation so it’s only right that he gets to be the sole male surrounded by tall stunning women with amazing figures.
As if a gathering of past beauty queens wasn’t enough, the glamour-ometer went into overdrive when supermodels Flaviana Matata and Angela Martini showed up to join the fun on Wednesday. The reunion was also a photo shoot with pageant photographer Fadil Berisha.
This year’s event takes place in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on September 12.
Californian girl Alyssa Camanella wil be representing the U.S. The glittering occasion will be the 60th anniversary of the pageant. The event provided some light relief for Trump from the rigours of Obama-bashing and being a politician-in-waiting.
He’s had plenty to say about the debt crisis in recent days, urging GOP negotiators not to make concessions just get a deal through Congress.
‘Obama’s totally lost,’ Mr Trump said last week. ‘He’s obviously not somebody who’s made a lot of deals in his life.
‘The man is not a man who makes deals. The one deal he made was Obamacare and that’s a disaster for the country.’
