Though it might not be up to people’s expectation, he said the MTF was trying its best to promote music in and out of Nagaland so Naga musicians can reach out to the world and promote their music.
He disclosed that in the initial state when the MTF was formed, it did not have any profitable infrastructure and lacked corporate musicians who could guide or upgrade local musicians, but was however contented that the scenario has now changed with some Naga musicians making it big in the music industry.
Metha while urging the youth to come forward and make use of their talents; said despite facing hurdles, Naga youth have created a niche for themselves by citing an example of Chekrovolü Swüro who won Silver Medal for Team India during the recently concluded 46th World Archery Championship held in Turin (Italy) and Divine Connection, winner MTV’s ‘Kurkure Desi Beats Rock On’.
Asking Naga youth to emulate them, Metha added there is no substitute for hard work.
