Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) concluded its 1st phase of departmental tour in Sanis and Baghty town on August 8 and 9. The tour was led by its union president Benathung Odyuo accompanied by KSU general secretary, Amos Odyuo and Yiben Humtsoe former KSU president. During its tour, the union detected various departmental offices under its jurisdiction lying in poor condition.
LMRSU general secretary, Renbithung Ezung stated that the tour was a success wherein department officials shared their views and grievances and also interacted with the teachers and students.
During the tour, the union said it was stunned to learn that government High School Sanis had been running without Maths, Hindi and Lotha/MIL teacher and in this regard appealed the higher authority to look into the matter by appointing the mentioned subject teachers at the earliest.
LMRSU also expressed disappointment over the condition of High School buildings in both the towns and EE (R&B) PWD Office Baghty town. The union stated that EE (R&B) Baghty office building construction which was started since 2008 was yet to complete and urged the department to take the matter seriously.
LMRSU further appealed to all government employees under its jurisdiction to be sincere and dedicated in their duties. The union would be visiting from time to time and if any official was found failing to comply their duties sincerely, the matter would be reported to higher authority without prior information for the necessary action, the union added.
The union has also expressed gratitude to all departments, individual and KSU officials for extending their help ands support during the tour.
