The new office building for United Baptist Churches Association, North East India (UBCA, NEI) was inaugurated on Friday.
Located near Bible Society of India, UBCA NEI was officially established on August 12, 2008 and registered under state home department in the year 2009.
Dimapur chief medical officer, Dr. Sukhato A. Sema inaugurated the office as the chief guest. He lauded UBCA’s missionary works spread in the neglected parts of Dimapur and north east states. He lamented there were many neglected places where people still do not have access to necessities in life, be it medical or spiritual needs.
Basing on his experience while on medical duty on the outskirts of Dimapur, Dr. Sukhato said UBCA’s Church was the only Church he found in neglected places.
He urged the gathering that included pastors, reverends and members of UBCA NEI to continue with missionary works. Besides donating `20,000 towards the Church, the chief medical officer also assured to sponsor the first missionary from UBCA, NEI.
Earlier, act of dedication was done by general secretary /ES, Rev. L. Hevuto Awomi and welcome address by President Rev. Y.T Lotha.
The three room office was donated by Azheto Chophy. The inaugural programme was attended by members of BSI and various Churches under UBCA NEI. UBCA NEI has 15 Churches and fellowships under the association.
