Tsungremmong, Metemneo celebrated in Naltoqa

Members of the Ao and Yimchunger community of the 8th NAP battalion headquarters Naltoqa observed Tsungremmong and Metemneo festivals on August 2 and 8 respectively with commandant 8th NAP battalion Lakha Koza as the chief guest on both occasions.

Speaking as the chief guest on both the functions, Koza lauded both the communities for celebrating the festivals in a spirit of friendship, peace and unity.

He also stressed on the need for the present generation to preserve the rich culture and tradition of the fore fathers and to emulate the honesty, straight forwardness and hard working qualities possessed by them.

Koza said while celebrating festivals one should also introspect one self and urged the community members to uphold the dignity of labour in the Naga society so as to gain respect from others.

Tsungremmong was celebrated at the official residence of deputy commandant (2.I.C) 8th NAP I Limasanen Ao and Metemneo at the residence of H.A 8th NAP Bn Naltoqa Ahola Yimchunger.
