FIRMS dismayed with district administration

Frontal Integrated Ranges of Meranger and Sensolikum (FIRMS) had an emergency executive meeting on March 22 in the residence of its treasurer, Lengrijan Dimapur.
Talking to Nagaland Post FIRMS chairman, Temjen Jamir, said that despite of repeated appeals in the past, the state government as well as the Dimapur district administration including the police outrightly declined to extend help when FIRMS was subjected to extreme situation arising from the forceful and violent eviction drive illegally carried out frequently  by the armed Assam police and forest guards. 
He said Assam government had resolved to undertake the eviction drive in area despite understanding the fact and circumstances the rightful landowners of Meranger and Sensolikum villagers.
Temjen said the villagers were dismayed and surprised that the district administration and the IRB, instead of providing protection, chased away the villagers since on March 21.
He also mentioned that if the district administration and IRBs continues further with the wrong intentions, “there will be lot of confusion and may arise law and order problem as well as blood shed on near future.
