One-day training of School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) under district mission office RMSA Tuensang was held on Thursday at GHSS auditorium Tuensang, with Dr. Khatoli assistant mission director RMSA, as the resource person.
Highlighting on the topic, implementation of RMSA programme vision, goal and objectives and composition of SMDC, Khatoli, emphasized on importance of implementing of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) programme in schools and said the central government has been initiating RMSA programme in the state to enable students to compete successfully.
She also said five components were being implemented this year which include- annual school grand, minor repairing, excursion trip, science exhibition and remedial teaching.
Katholi, said vision for students was to make “good quality education”, and stressed on the importance of school management development committee action plan under academic and building committee, where civil work would start with proper assessment of infrastructural requirement and new earthquake resistant structure to be constructed with facilities for water harvesting.
Earlier, the training programme was chaired by B. Lianghoi Khiam, RMSA coordinator Tuensang, GHS Chaba. Tinotemsu deputy mission director RMSA Kohima and Akum Data entry operator RMSA Kohima also attended the programme.
