NSRLM CRP consolidation round in Kma

Community resource persons (CRP) strategy of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) was implemented phase-wise in Nagaland with a view to strengthen the community mobilization process in the state. With OMPLIS, Orvakal, Andhra Pradesh as the National Resource Organisation (NRO) for Nagaland, the CRP strategy has completed its 3rd Round.
This phase was a consolidation round held from October 20 to November 21 where consolidation and follow up was done in villages already covered during the previous two CRP rounds.
Debriefing sessions were held at ATI, Kohima on November 25 and 26 after completion of the consolidation round in the presence of NMMU, NRLM state anchor Smita Jacob.
In her introductory note, Jacob informed that the work being carried out in Nagaland was inspirational and the Ministry has given due recognition to the State in this regard.
She lauded the SMD and AMD for their leadership and the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) team for the concerted effort in ensuring success of the programme.
On the upcoming writeshop to be held December 12 to 17, Jacob said the writeshop was an opportunity for the State Mission to show that, despite challenges and difficulties, the Mission is able to show results.
She urged the staff and team to work hard and ensure that SHGs were continuously nurtured.
NMMU, NRLM state anchor dedicated the Consolidation Round briefing to Suvarnamma, an ECRP from OMPLIS who was stationed in Nagaland till the 2nd CRP round and who passed away before the start of the 3rd round.
Addl. Secy and State Mission Director, NSRLM M. Lotha in his welcome note stated that the debriefing sessions after CRP rounds were pertinent to be aware of what was happening in the ground and finding ways to take corrective measures.
SMD affirmed that with the timely intervention of OMPLIS, the NRLM program would effectively be implemented.
Addl. Mission Director, NSRLM Tsalito Sangtam briefed the gathering on the importance of maintaining decorum wherever stationed, and to earnestly work for the welfare of all stakeholders concerned. The debriefing programme was chaired by M. Rollan Lotha, COO (Programs) NSRLM.  Reports were presented by all 9 Resource Blocks on activities, data collected and achievements made.
The CRP Strategy Consolidation Round was primarily focused on follow up of the functioning of SHGs formed during the 1st and 2nd CRP Rounds including some existing ones.
So far, during the CRP rounds, 485 new SHGs have been formed and 988 existing and new SHGs have been nurtured; PIP was carried out for 620 SHGs; Close to 1000 SHGs were trained on Bookkeeping and 1576 Group and 2197 individual Savings Bank accounts have been opened as on October, 2014.
