Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mon conducted a program on capacity building for “farmers friends” of ATMA Mon on September 26.
During the program, deputy project director N Subenthung Odyuo, spoke on the topic ‘The role of Farmers friend in formation of FIG’s, and CIG’s’ and deliberated on the role of farmer friends in the dissemination of agriculture technology.
Deputy project director Wondangbeni Kikon also apprised the participants of how information communication technology could be a powerful tool for agricultural extension by providing farming communities with latest necessary information creating an efficient network between stakeholders.
The participants were highlighted on ‘Record keeping and maintenace’ by Chaiwang Konyak; the programme was attended by 43 farmers representing 84 villages under 6 Blocks of Mon district.
