To preserve the family history in reverence and to perpetuate the bloodline ties of the people of the two khels, Hausum khel of Poilwa village and Huruotsu khel of Kohima village erected a stone monolith on January 23 at Duilum River, Poilwa village.
One of the monolith was erected at joint community land Saijang/Jalukie and the other at Kingam Mdau Poilwa and the same was dedicated by deacon, Baptist church Jalukie town, Ihangnoing Hau and pastor Khedi Baptist church Kohima Village, Neivizolie Chielie respectively.
In a press release chairman Hausum khel Poilwa, Namkwa Diswang said that hundreds of people from the two clans including the village chairman, GBs from both the villages attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, minister urban development and higher education, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu reportedly stated that as per history, the fore-fathers came from Poilwa village and advised the younger generation to further do a historical researech on the two clans so as to strengthen uphold the unity and harmony among brethrens.
Others who attended the programme were ex-minister, Seyiekuolie, president Nagaland class-I contractors union, K.C. Angami, president Huruotsu khel, Rüsietuo Liezietsu, director NSMDC ltd., Rüvuokhrielie, proprietor Oking hospital Kohima, Dr. Vikethonyü, principal North Field School Kohima, Pheluopfelie Kesiezie, Aduo Liezietsu amongst others.
