Society splitting further: Dr. Shürho

Naga People’s Front (NPF) president and former minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu expressing his pain and sadness on Naga political problem said killing one another in the name of fighting for sovereignty of the Nagas was splitting the society further.

He said this while addressing the gathering as an outgoing president of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and guides (NSBS&G) during its 36th state council meeting at Life member’s building conference hall Bharat Scouts and guides Bayavü Kohima.

On the account of the prevailing situation in Nagaland, Dr. Shürhozelie urged the gathering members to spread the message of love and understanding to bring positive impact in the society.

He challenged the members to march along with the rest of the other advanced nations and also to promote and inspire this great movement throughout the state.

He also urged scouts and guides to inculcate the principles of scouts and guides movement in the minds of young people to be a responsible citizen who could bring changes for better society.

Sharing experiences, Dr. Shürhozelie said during his association with many organizations the NSBS&G found to be noble and most peaceful one.

He said NSBS&G was like Naga tradition in respect for one another, proper coordination, understanding, spirit to help one another, help the society and humanity.

Dr. Shürhozelie said “if we preserve our rich culture and tradition, we are not far from the principles of scouts and guides movement”.

Reaffirmation of promise by inducting of Director School education Zaveyi Nyekha (elementary) and Seyiekuolie former minister as vice -presidents was led by State organizing commissioner (scout) John Tochimong.

The programme was chaired by NSBS&G vice president Povotso, invocation prayer was proposed by I.Amenla Soyah state training commissioner (guide) BSG, welcome address was delivered by Nino Iralu, presentation of annual report 2012-13 was read out by Vimezhonu on behalf of Zakieo Metha, presentation of the annual budget 2012-13 by Neibou Sekhose state treasurer, presentation of certificates/honorable charge was led by Albert Solo state training commissioner (scout) while vote of thanks was tendered by Kyomo Lotha Ex.MP state chief commissioner.

Election procedure was led by Nini Meru vice patron & returning officer. Sano Vamuzo, Seyeikuolie former minister and V.Hekali Zhimomi IAS were elected vice- presidents. Director youth resources Keili Zeliang and Director School were elected as vice- presidents by virtue their post.
