After a series of meetings, talks, deliberations, enquiries and inspection by several apex bodies of NGOs, Hohos, Mothers’ and student bodies, business establishments/organisations, GBs, elders etc., two representatives each into the SCAPRUT (Steering Committee Against Price Rise and Unabated Taxation) were nominated.
The new fixed price and market index will come into effect from the date of publication of this notification.
The house also cautioned defaulters of extreme penalty/consequences and to compulsorily use electronic weighing scales in every slaughter house/butcher’s shop, if not a fine of Rs. 5000 (Five thousand) will be imposed on the spot against the defaulter(s).
Per kilogram/Kg:-
Potato – Rs. 15
Onion – Rs. 55
Beef – Rs. 120
Pork (Assam/imported) – Rs. 170
Egg per Plate – Rs. 130
Betel leaf (paan) – Rs. 170.
Charges for unloading/loading of various goods per truck, mini truck and pick up carriers, wood & cement masons/labours charges, head/asst labours charges, coolie and daily wage labours charges have also been fixed.
The committee further informed that ban/boycott of certain necessary essential goods have now been relaxed for open market, however capturing of goods/items by individuals, agencies etc will be highly monitored.
