MMI eye camp benifits more than 2000 patients

Valedictory function of Medical Ministry International (MMI) eye camp at Mon was held in Walo Guest House on November 1.

Altogether 2554 patients were registered and 202 cataract surgeries were done during the week-long eye camp which began on October 23.

In his speech, Rev. Dr. Pongshing thanked MMI team members for the successful eye camp which has benefited many people of the district.

He also expressed his gratitude to district hospital staff, doctors and nurses, MSF members and KBCM volunteers for their tireless effort during the camp, and thanked the district administration headed by DC Mon for providing all necessary needs.

Rev. Dr. Pongshing also gave away souvenirs to all MMI team members and wished them success in their ministry and also urged MMI to remember the people of Mon in their daily prayers.

Executive secretary of KBBB, Chemyuh Konyak and ADC Mon Kuko Mero thanked Medical Ministry International  team for their noble service which has benefited the people of Mon district, at the same time, urged the team to conduct such camp even in the near future. The programme culminated with special numbers and folk songs by KBCM youth.

The programme was attended by district administration, KBBB, MSF and Medical Ministry International team.
