Advisory committee of Nagaland contractors’ and suppliers’ union (NCSU) has appealed to the department technical committees (DTCs) and state level committee (SLC) to expedite the ongoing process of scrutiny and clearance of the pending bills of NCSU members as time was running out and members impatient.

In a press release, NCSU advisory committee convenor Povotso Lohe and members Avituo Sekhose and T.Yanger Imchen said the union was initially hoping that the process of proper verification of the pending bills would be completed within October 31 but it was not.

Advisory committee members said that even after a lapse of over one and half months, the process of scrutiny in three departments – PWD (R&B), PWD (housing) and PHE were moving at a snail’s pace, which they described showed the indifferent attitude of the responsible authorities in solving the NCSU pending bills issue.

And, in the event of undue delay, they cautioned NCSU would be compelled to launch phase-III agitation in due course. Therefore, they appealed to all the responsible to ensure early completion of the process of scrutiny and make payment to the bona fide NCSU members without delay.
