NBCC prayer day observed

Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Saturday organized prayer and fasting programme for the leaders of the state at Union Baptist Church Kohima.
NBCC general secretary Reverend Dr. L. Anjo Keikung read the portion from the Bible 11 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” and shared the purpose of the programme. 
In the prayer meet, the congregation prayed for all the 60 state MLAs, state governor and his secretariat staff, all the various HoD , 11 districts DCs, chief secretary and all additional chief secretaries, commissioner secretaries of different department and civil secretariat , all rank and files of police department from DGP, state’s NGOs, church leaders, mass media and social network, people in prisons, differently abled persons and social workers, people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol, 2014 Lok Sabha election, families, widows and orphans, law fraternity, students, HIV/AIDS infected people, Naga political groups and others.
Around 400 leaders including politicians, church leaders, civil organizations and others attended the chain of prayer fellowship which was led by 23 ordained ministers from various denominations.
NBCC secretary Reverend L. Anjo Keikung informed Nagaland Post that Nagaland state being a Christian state, it was the desire of the NBCC that all political leaders, leaders of various organizations, business and others irrespective of any denomination would come and join the fellowship held during the month of March every year.  He said NBCC was the decision on the programme was taken in 2010.
