Signatories to the Naga Concordant (NC) has decided that they would “deter from involvement” in the ensuing assembly elections scheduled for February 23.
.In a joint statement signed by NC high level commission convener V.S. Atem representing NSCN (I-M), NC high level commission convener Zhopra vero (NNC/FNG) and Azheto Chophy for NC high level commission convener C. Singson (GPRN/NSCN), the signatories also reaffirmed that they would render “unreserved support” to Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and the Naga reconcialiation thereby strengthening the process.
The signatories have also urged other Naga “national groups” to follow the path of reconciliation for a common good.
While deciding to “deter” themselves from involving in the ensuing assembly polls, the signatories have also appreciated all Naga organizations, churches and individuals for their “untiring support.”
