Dimapur airport got a festive facelift beginning December 1 when volunteers of Dimapur District Ladies Club put up season’s décor at major spectacular portions of the interior.
As one enters the departure section of the airport, a life size Santa Claus installed near the check-in doorway waits and welcomes passengers. As one gets into the check-in portion, there is a palpable warm festive mood. The palpable festive ambience is even made warmer by the presence of Christmas trees inside the airport. One of the multi-flickering lighted Christmas tree installed right in the middle of the waiting-lounge could emanates memories of domestic interiors.
Even as passengers enter the arrival section of the airport, they are welcomed with glittering lights and giant flower bunch perched on cane seats especially designed for the season.
