One-month pastorial training begins

One-month pastoral training under the motto “Trained to work in His likeness” began Monday, at Mountain View Christian college, old campus BSF Camp, Keyake organized by Cross Wonder Church Ministries.

Impalong Longkumer and Dr. Tseibu president, Leaders for Christ International were the chief guest and guest speaker respectively.

Longkumer in his address said, many churches are set up in Naga society with many good leaders but because of wrong leadership, many have become “lost sheep’s”.

Basing on the word of God, the chief guest said to achieve one’s target one has to work hard and learn according to Biblical principles.

“As we preach and believe on what God says, our thinking and attitude should be Christ like”, he added.

He was optimistic that God would surely bless the training and that something good would emerge out of it.

Dr. Tseibu in his message, said pastors are expected to work to change the world but lamented that today, many go after money, name and fame.

He said, institutions and Churches are two institutions that can change the society.
“When we talk about the Bible, there are only two ways, either you will be blessed or cursed and you cannot be in the middle”, he said.

While expressing his confidence that something big would happen during the training, he also appealed to the gathering to stick to the Lord, have faith in His word, stand mightily and surrender completely to God.

Pastor Ketou, president PTC, in his brief speech, said the training was organized mainly for pastors.

He said during the one month training, ministers, medical officers, lawyers, government officers, pastors, theologians, foreign guests and pioneers in ministers would be speaking on different views.

Earlier, the programme was chaired byAneibao Theünuo, special song by Cross youth choir and vote of thanks by Pucho, training director.
