Asserting School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University was a potent and vital institution especially for a small state like Nagaland,
Nagaland health minister Imkong L Imchen Tuesday said the school deserved proper attention from responsible authority.
Speaking at the inaugural function of ‘4th Techaura’ of School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University, being held here on the theme ‘empowering technomania’, Imkong regretted over the confusion as to whether the School of Engineering & Technology was a government-run or a University-run school concerning its current state of affairs.
Pointing out that the school was first of its kind in the state, Imchen hoped the responsible authority look into the matter of bringing the school of engineering and technology into focus though it was university school, which is an autonomous institution.
The minister told the students Naga people had high expectations of them to bring about revolutionary change in technological advancement.
Other highlights of the inaugural function included prelude by String Ensembles, welcome note by SESU president Kivigho Zhimo, mission and vision of ‘techaura 2013’ by Lhilo Kenye, convener, speech by Prof R C Nayak, DEAN NU SETAM and vote of thanks by Vitolu Chishi, program in-charge.
