Mobile Unit of DEF Kohima had conducted MVCP at High Court Junction, Meriema, Kohima on August 7 at around 2:10 pm. According to addl. superintendent of Police & PRO, Kohima, the Mobile Unit recovered 14 cases of MC Rum and 1 case of Kingfisher Beer from the possession of two persons identified as Kanga @ Mary (26 yrs), daughter of John Kangba, village Willong, PO/PS Senapati, Dist Senapati, Manipur and Lucy @ Lungsanga (25 yrs) daughter of Joseph Kangsing, village Shungkunglung, PO/PS Senapati, Dist Senapati, Manipur. In this connection a case was registered at North PS for conducting further investigation. Again on the same day at around 1500 hrs, Mobile Unit while conducting MVCP at 10 Mile Zhadima road intercepted one Maruti bearing registration number AS-01S-0844 and recovered 4 cases of IMFL and 800 bottles of banned cough syrup concealed in the vehicle. Accordingly the accused identified as Shunato Zhimo (25 yrs) son of late Kiyeshe, village Nunumi, PO/PS Satakha, P/Add Khuwaboto, Zunheboto along with the IMFL and banned drug was handed over to Chiephobozou PS and a case was registered for conducting further investigation.
