A day after Naga Council Dimapur expressed dismay over the ongoing construction of footpaths in Dimapur, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs minister, Metsubo Jamir on Tuesday inspected the areas.
Metsubo instructed the department officials to direct the contractor to carry out that works as per the design/specification. He also asked the department officials to carry out regular inspections as a means to ensure quality workmanship so that citizens could benefit through the developmental works initiated by the department. He also directed the department to ensure that the areas were cleaned up the completion of work.
Meanwhile, Metsubo appreciated NCD for highlighting the matter.
