Citing internal squabble within the party in the state, the founding member of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Nagaland unit, Akavi N Zhimomi, has tendered his resignation from the party with immediate effect.
In his resignation letter to Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Akavi said the “events that have unfolded in the recent times within the party executives in Nagaland have impelled me to take this step.”
Akavi, who contested the last assembly elections on Aam Aadmi Party ticket from 4 Ghaspani-I assembly constituency, said that he gave unparallel services for the growth of the party in the state during his four years association with the party.
“I will cherish the fond memories and I leave the party with a deep sense of gratitude,” the letter stated.
