
Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH), Wokha received a long awaited Blood Storage Unit power back-up from the district administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon on December 13.
A press release from NHM Wokha district media officer, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that speaking on the occasion, Dr. Samoon expressed his happiness on being able to donate the equipment.
He also encouraged the district hospital staff to make it functional as soon as possible so that the public can avail of its services, and promised that the district administration and medical department will continue to work together in initiatives in future.
Team Metamorphosis (NGO) Wokha president Thungdemo, thanked the district administration for the initiative and also promised that his team was ever ready to donate blood when needed.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Wokha, Dr. Robin Lotha expressed his gratitude to the former DC Wokha, Wezope Kenye, and Wokha ADC, Thavasalem, as this project was initiated during their tenure. He also thanked the HOD NEEPCO Doyang for providing the blood storage refrigerator, and extended his appreciation to all well-wishers who contributed to making the project a reality for the people of the district.
The programme was chaired by DMMDH medical superintendent, Dr. Tumchobeni.
