A diagnostic laboratory, ‘First Choice’, was dedicated at Arkong Ward on Saturday, initiated by Kumlong Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Lima Jamir.
In a brief dedicatory function, proprietor Mr & Mrs Talipokum stated that the dedicatory function was a dream project from the year 2015 that had come true for him and his wife Tiayenla, through the constant grace of God, and monetary assistance from the Bank of Baroda & PMEGP 2015-16.
Tiayenla is the Medical Technologist of the Laboratory and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Talipokum (who is the grandson of educationist Mayangnokcha) said that the setting up the Laboratory was more than a business, it was an opportunity to serve the people, not only of Mokokchung district but the neighbouring districts of Tuensang, Zunheboto, Wokha and Longleng.
He said that it would save money, the inconvenience of travel, and time for the people by getting the diagnosis facilities at home.
He said that ‘First Choice’ Diagnostic Laboratory would be available for Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Hermon Test and Microbiology, adding that that Histopatology would also be installed very soon.
The dedicatory function began with an invocation by Kumlong Baptist Church, associate pastor, Kikum.
