DMI St. Joseph Global School (DMI-SJGS) organized a Kindergarten (KG) graduation program for the academic session 2018-19, on Saturday at its seminar hall, Virgin Town, Ikishe village, Dimapur. Altogether 39 UKG graduating students were felicitated and awarded graduation certificates.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, assistant development commissioner (secretariat) Kohima, Fr. Augustin, attributed the success of the students to parents and teachers, who, he said, had been tirelessly rendering their services to promote the children. He opined that parents and teachers should take pride in the fact that the children were graduating. Fr. Augustin stated that the students had learnt a lot, played hard, made friends, and reached numerous achievements during their academic session. The children will not be with their parents forever, he said, adding that they would leave in a few years when they grow up. He appealed to the parents and teachers to collectively contribute in moulding and shaping the future of the students.
The chief guest gave away Kindergarten graduation certificates to the graduating students. Prizes for various competitions and activities were also distributed during the program. Videos on various activities conducted during the academic session 2018-2019 were also screened.
Other highlights of the program included, a welcome address by UKG students; prayer song and prayer by LKG students; welcome song by UKG students; dance by pre-KG and LKG students; cultural show by LKG students; graduation anthem by UKG students; and a vote of thanks proposed by UKG students. The program was attended by parents, teachers, students, administrative staff and well wishers.
