IAH Noklak conducts AYUSH awareness camp

Integrated AYUSH Hospital Noklak conducted AYUSH medicine system awareness-cum-free health camp on October 12 at Nokyan village, Noklak.

A press release from IAH Noklak stated that, Dr. Imkongchiba, residential medical officer, IAH Noklak speaking at the health camp on the topic AYUSH medicine system”, stated that the term AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicine and that within these medical systems, drug therapies play an important role in curing disease and maintaining health. Imkongchiba further maintained that AYUSH has gained confidence as other systems of medicine. 

Dr. Meyajungla, IAH Noklak, said that AYUSH medicines come under the category of experienced medicine and are time tested, cost effective, and known for safety issues. Stressing that the relevance of AYUSH has become more now, Meyajungla said that AYUSH medicines are widely used as a standalone option or as adjunct with bio medicine in the long term diseases.  

The medical team was comprised of Dr. Imkongchiba, Dr. Meyajungla, and Dr. Among, as well as four nurses, one technician and one medicine dispenser. Altogether 161 patients were provided free health tests and medicines during the health camp.
