
NBSE notifies on reduced syllabus: Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all the heads of institutions of the board on reducing syllabus for classes X, XI and XII for the academic session 2020 including marks distribution, question paper design and internal assessment area. Measures taken by the board was reduction of existing syllabus ranging from 20% to 30% in different subjects for the sole purpose of conducting the final examination in order to reduce the work load of the students and compensate the lost teaching days. Chapters/topics that are removed from the syllabus will be given at the Board’s website wwwm bsenagaland.com. Reduction is applicable for this academic session 2020 only. For revised mark distribution unit/chapter wise, the design of the question paper subject wise along with the internal assessment areas and guidelines are also being given out to the heads of the institutions. NBSE also asked the schools/institutions that whatever activities the school does, the same must be recorded, including the internal mark of the students. All heads of institutions have been requested to take note and inform the concerned teachers and the students about the changes. Board also notified that every school should continue to guide and help the students in every possible way and encouraged to keep in touch with their textbooks. Homeworks, assignments and projects which can be done at home should be given out at regular intervals. There should be regular assessment/test to check on the students learning outcome.
ANHTU Dimapur unit informs: All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Dimapur unit has informed that 26th District Level Hindi Diwas celebration scheduled to be held on September 14 at Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Shiksha Kendra, Chekiye Dimapur has been postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
