Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles assisted civil administration in clearing off blockade along Kanjang-Akhen road on April 25. According to PRO HQ IGAR (N) heavy and incessant rainfall had caused landslides in numerous stretches between Kanjang and Akhen villages of Phek district. PRO stated that, the road being the only lifeline used by residents from the two villages required to be cleared urgently to enable move of essential supplies to the villages.
