Federal government of Nagaland (FGN), western command (W/C), Naga army has expressed grief over the demise of late ‘captain’, Mapeng, army No. 1325l son of Kukeng of New Beisumpuikam village of 3rd Bn. 1st B’de, W/C Naga army, who passed away on May 11.
A condolence note from ‘maj. gen.’ Pezangulie Khelietsu, GOC stated that late captain Mapeng joined national defence service on August 15, 1987 and was appointed as ‘adjutant’ of 3rd Bn. 1st B’de, W/C Naga army on August 18, 2018 and faithfully served the nation till his last. FGN stated that his untimely demise was “a great loss for the unit and for the 1st Brigade W/C, Naga Army of Zeliangrong region” and that his sacrifice for the nation will remain alive.
Further, WC, Naga army, FGN prayed that the almighty grant solace and peace to the bereaved family members and relatives at this hour of grief.
