An emergency meeting on COVID-19 pandemic was held with executive members of all ward/sectors of Tuensang town under the chairmanship of CMO Tuensang, Dr. Moatemjen, at CMO conference hall on August 10.
A press release by DMO Tuensang Apheang stated that, CMO highlighted about the COVID-19 cases in the district with 46 positive cases, out of which 45 have recovered/discharged and only one active case at present. He mentioned that, the team was trying to identity some good building for the COVID-19 care centre, so the COVID hospital will be shifted in a separate building, making the District Hospital operational for OPD as usual for the patients.
He further informed that returnees coming back to Tuensang from interstate must be in quarantine centre for 7 (seven) days and followed by 14 days mandatory home quarantine. Main issues discussed were the returnees to Tuensang from inter-district who will be send straight for home quarantine. In this regard, colony/ward/sectors have been asked to take precautionary measures and responsibility in their respective colony/ward/sectors and make necessary arrangements.
