Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs minister, Temjen Imna Along said it was the opportune time for the Nagas to ask for solution as the government at the Centre was also eager to resolve the vexed Naga political issue at the earliest.
Speaking at the inaugural programme of the newly-constructed top three floors of the Ao Senden office here on Tuesday, Along emphasized that Nagas should insist for solution and remarked that the will of people was very much needed at this hour.
He therefore urged the Ao Senden to be steady and remain united as the Naga solution expected anytime soon, adding Aos should make their stand clear with regard to Naga solution.
Referring to COVID-19 pandemic, Along called upon all to take the crisis seriously and urged all to follow the SOPs, while admitting that the pandemic-induced economic stress was huge and added to the State’s already grim economic scenario.
He stressed on self-sustenance as the economic downturn might continue for another five to ten years.
Observing that the newly-constructed building was perhaps one of the best hoho buildings, he said such buildings should be icons and act as hearth from where the tenets of culture and tradition should emanate.
