Responding to the issue of delay and lapse in the construction of Old Dhansiri Bridge raised by the East Dimapur GBs Association, the Urban Development department visited the bridge along with GBs of East Dimapur on November 7.
A press release by EDGBA president, Niuto Awomi stated that, during the inspection carried out with GBs of East Dimapur, the executive engineer from the Urban Development department, Ketouzo found out that the issue raised by the EDGBA was genuine and that the construction of wing wall was in total disrepair.
In this regard, the EE Ketouzo assured the GBs that all the lapses in the construction especially the wing wall would be corrected and the bridge completed in the month of December 2020.
EDGBA lauded the concerned department for its prompt response to the legitimate issue raised by the EDGBA and also expressed hope that the bridge will be completed as per the specifications and within the time as assured.
