2 bodies found in Dimapur

Dimapur police have reportedly found two bodies, suspected to have been murdered, at Burma Camp, Dimapur at around 4:30am on Tuesday.
According to police, the bodies bore bullet marks in the head.
Originally hailing from Hojai Assam, the two deceased, identified as Abdul Latif (32), son of late Norul Haque, and Ajim Uddin (26), son of late Norul Haque, were reportedly drivers.
Police said after performing post-mortem examinations and other legal formalities the bodies were handed over to the relatives of the deceased to be taken to Hojai Assam for final rites. In connection with double murder, a criminal case No. 12/18 U/S 302 IPC has been registered with the East Police station, Dimapur.
DDTDWTU condemns: Dimapur District Truck Drivers’ Welfare Trade Union (DDTDWTU) has strongly condemned the brutal killings of its two members Abdul Latif and Ajumuddin by some unidentified miscreants inside a stone crusher at Burma Camp at around 2am on Tuesday.
In a press release, DDTDWTU president, Kaiho Zhimomi, and general secretary, Suren (Atobo), urged the district administration and law enforcing agency to investigate the case thoroughly and arrest the perpetrators and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land.
The union has called upon all right thinking citizens and civil societies to outrightly condemn the killings of the innocent drivers.
Meanwhile, the union has expressed pain over the killing of its two members and shared grief with the bereaved family members.
