Medziphema battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) on January 15 has seized 1083 cases of liquor worth Rs. 30 lakh (approx) from a Tata truck (NL-01 K–5134) at Lalmati.
According to Medziphema battalion HQ IGAR (N), troops of Assam Rifles along with police representative during its mobile check post operation apprehended three individuals in this connection.
AR informed that the apprehended individual were identified as Apik Singh (28) son of Sekhan Singh, resident of 4th mile Dimapur, Arif (24) son of Usen Amed resident of 7th mile Dimapur and a juvenile.
The apprehended persons along with recovered items have been handed over to Zubza police station for further investigation, informed the release.
