
A day-long seminar on the topic, “COVID-19 and vaccine & moving forward in the COVID era” was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sao Chang College (SCC) Tuensang on March 25 at SCC multipurpose hall.
A press release by the college stated that resource persons were medical officer, district hospital Tuensang, Dr. Zerila and junior specialist (surgeon) district hospital Tuensang, Dr. Ngukato.
The resource persons spoke on importance of COVID-19 vaccine to minimise infection adding that though it was not a complete protection from COVID-19, taking the vaccine could reduce the chances of getting infected.
They enlightened students, staff and faculty to get vaccinated as and when COVID-19 vaccines were made available to them.
Stating that vaccine alone would not be “complete measure”, the resource persons stressed on the need for awareness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The programme was chaired by member IQAC, Dr. Iris Odyuo, welcome address by member IQAC, Dr. Lal Veda Chandra Kumar and vote of thanks was delivered by member IQAC, Akyuba Sangtam.
