Governor inaugurates Ametchong village

Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya on Monday inaugurated Ametchong village in Longleng district.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor called on the residents of Ametchong to work hard and be self sufficient. He said Nagaland was bestowed with rich natural resources and talented manpower and had the potential become a very rich State.  He further encouraged the villagers to march toward development and new vision.
According to a DIPR press release, Acharya stated that Look East policy of the Central government had much to offer to the North-eastern States and that the States should be ready to avail the opportunities that came along with it to grow on a par with the rest of country. 
He also called on the youth to take up skill development degrees and courses. Attitude of job seekers should change to job givers, he stated, adding that Nagaland would change for the better with such a mindset.
A brief report on Ametchong village was given by Ametchong ad hoc Village Council ad hoc chairman B Kengshing, while L Shaupen Phom delivered the welcome address. 
Short speeches were also given by Longleng DC John Tsulise Sangtem and former Minister B Pongshak Phome, among others. Ametchong Students’ Union also presented a special song on the occasion. 
Vote of thanks was delivered by Deputy Secretary, Government of Nagaland, B Henok Buchem.
