Photo-37c from the exhibition gallery, shot by Longso Yimkhiung won the Hip-Fest photography 2021 contest, which was declared December 2 (second day of the Hornbill Festival) at Kisama. Inakavi Kasho and Parvej Akhtar were placed as the second and third position respectively.
The winner of the competition will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, the second and the third will receive a cash award of Rs 20,000 and 15,000 respectively. Nine consolation prize winners were also declared with cash prize of Rs. 5000 each and in addition a “Viewer Choice” will be selected from the spectator which will be declared on the 7th day of the festival.
Photographer Kekhriezhazo Machieo, Freelance Merimvu Doulo and media officer to the chief minister, Ayieno Kechü, judged the Hip-Fest 2021 photography contest.
The Hip-Fest is organised by the department of Information & Public Relations (IPR) in collaboration with Eastern Art Council.
