The Tizu Valley Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihood Network (TVBCLN) Zunheboto in collaboration with Green Club, Zunheboto and district administration, Zunheboto organised the first ever night carnival as part Hornbill festival, sponsored by Department of Tourism Nagaland on December 1.
Speaking at the event, deputy commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo lauded the organisers of the event for giving a platform to youths where art and culture are promoted as part of the Hornbill Festival. He also talked about the importance of preservations of Naga culture. He further called on the youths to join hands in conservation activities.
The event featured Sumi love songs, folk songs, food, horti and agriculture mart, handloom and handicraft.
The officials informed that the main objective of the event was to give platforms to local musicians and entrepreneurs where they can exhibit the music, art and cultures and also to promote local tourism for unemployed youths.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Tavinto Chishi and Atuonuo Yhome, the event featured artists like Khekivi Yeptho stage name Naga Kheks, Leviaa Music Centre, Fame Steppers crew, District Band and Jazz band 32 AR.
